An introduction to a blog that I will rarely use

If you are reading this then you are special.  I say that because it is extremely unlikely that you have actually come across this blog. I can,t say that with absolute certainty, but I can be reasonably sure.  Anyway, I'm going to briefly talk about when I may or may not talk about in future posts.  Assuming I use is that all, most of what I say will be related to video games.  Other stuff may be about physics or high school, hence the name.  If you do have the incredible luck of coming across this blog, and I might as well to you about my youtube channel.  I used to do really bad let's plays and really bad top five videos, but now I do slightly less bad let's play videos.  My username is ninjainthebasement. I don't get many views, so I figure: why not have a blog that no one reads as well.

Most likely I will not specifically talk about games, science, or high school only.  I might just write about whenever is on my mind.  What is on my mind right now is youtube. I really don't like the way youtube videos are seen.  Ask most people, and they would say the way to become popular on youtube is to make good videos.  However, I really don't think that this is the case.  When you look up a video on youtube, most of the videos they come up of over 1000 views.  Most people who I know that post videos, including myself, rarely get over 20 on any game given video.  I believe, fell making good videos helps everything really falls to chance.  You could make the greatest video in the world and no one would ever care if no one watches it.  People are not going to instinctively know to search for your video store the only way to get word of mouth spread is by telling your friends, or having the right person watch your video at the right time.  Most of the time simply telling your friends is not enough.  The second option is extremely unlikely to happen, similar to you reading this blog.  One theory I came up with once was that the number of views video gets depends on its title.  If the title is too obscure the no one will know to search for it.  If the video is too obscure, then there will already be many others like it.  Anyone searching for will watch those instead.  Finding a perfect balance is almost impossible to do.  One way that this could be fixed would be having a recently posted videos tab.  Another way would be having a section of videos (based on a user's preferred style) that got under 100 views.  Although I really like youtube, I really think that this is one way that they could improve.

I think the funny thing is that there's really no reason for me to say this.  If the chances of you reading this were small, then the chances of any one actually from youtube reading this are absolutely tiny. I suppose that this is me one part ranting and one for trying to get publicity for my youtube channel.  Here's the link if you're so inclined: http://www.youtube.com/user/ninjainthebasement?feature=mhum
I really hope that you give me some support in my videos. I don't get nearly enough views on my videos, so anything is appreciated.
If you have managed to read this far into my blog then congrats on your uniqueness again because most people would have stopped reading by now. Thank you anyways, and goodbye for now.http://www.youtube.com/user/ninjainthebasement?feature=mhum
